Welcome To The HILLTOPPERS ACADEMY SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE

23-24 Hilltoppers Academy Tuition
Hilltoppers Academy's tuition includes before- and after-school care, lunch, and most school expenses, such as our inter-campus shuttle between our three campuses, yearbooks, local field trips, athletic uniforms, etc. Non-tuition expenses include laptops, which are required for middle and upper school students, and textbooks. Additional costs families may encounter are for specific activity choices such as a particular after-school activity or elective travel trips for specific extracurricular activities.

Tuition & Tuition Assistance
At the Hilltoppers Academy School, we are committed to providing the most comprehensive academic and extracurricular programs and services possible for our students from every socioeconomic background. Our team will work with families to make Hilltoppers Academy School accessible and affordable for all.
Tuition Assistance
For students enrolled in K-12
We recognize the cost of a independent school education is a considerable investment and each family’s ability to meet tuition costs will vary. We encourage families who have a need and believe Hilltoppers Academy may be a good fit to consider applying for financial assistance. Financial assistance awards are based on need (no merit or athletic scholarships are awarded), and we work with families to help make a Hilltoppers Academy education affordable for them. The financial assistance application process is independent from the admission application process, though the two must be done simultaneously if a family anticipates needing aid.
Tuition Assistance Process
-
Request assistance application packet by emailing hilltoppersacademy@ymail.com.
-
Submit necessary documents to Student Services who will review your family’s financial information.
-
The financial assistance committee reviews the recommendation from Student Services for family contribution and financial assistance awards. Award notifications are communicated to accepted students at the same time as the accepted decision notification, in mid-March.
-
H.A.S. grants an award for the difference between the family’s contribution and the cost of tuition. Many factors contribute to the determination of each family’s financial aid award. We welcome any questions you may have about the financial aid process.

Hilltoppers Academy School When we meet:
The school site council meets at 5:30pm the 1st Thursday of every month in room G-2112.
What the school site council does
The Hilltoppers Academy School site council is a group of Hilltoppers Academy School teachers, parents, classified employees, and students that works with the Principal of Education to develop, review and evaluate school improvement programs and school budgets. The members of the site council are elected by their peers. For example, parents elect the parent representatives, teachers elect teachers, and students elect students.
School site councils generally either make decisions on the school budget and the academic or school improvement plan. In addition to academic planning, site council is also responsible for making decisions about parent engagement, safety and discipline.
Over the course of a year, a typical council might consider the goals of the school or district and then work with the principal to evaluate the school’s progress toward those goals. In this evaluation, the council might consider school test scores, attendance and discipline records, parent surveys and input from students.
After looking at the big picture of the school’s progress, the council and the principal create a plan for improvement. This plan might involve a new academic program, staff member or parent outreach strategy. For example, one council might use funds to develop a new math program, while another might decide to hire a reading specialist. Another council might decide that hiring an additional teacher to reduce class sizes or to add a type of School Curriculum in a particular grade or a parent liaison to get more parents involved would be the best use of its money. Because school budgets are limited and many funds can only be spent in certain ways, there are always tough decisions to make.
Hilltoppers Academy School Site Council is always an open meeting - for any student, parent, or community member may attend with Hilltoppers Academy School authorization and have input in our meetings. Please come by - we welcome your input!
